CELTIC THISTLE SOLO TENOR DRUMMING RESULTS

The 2008
Celtic Thistle Solo Piping & Drumming
Competition came to a close this evening. The
event is run by
The Competing Soloists' Organisation and was
held in Monkstown, Northern Ireland. All events
were packed with excellent talents, which made
the judging very difficult!
The Open Adult Solo
Tenor Drumming Competition was won by Charlie
Archibald (right) of Boghall & Bathgate
Caledonia, closely followed by Ross Bingham of
Field Marshal Montgomery.
The 15 - 18 years
group competition was won by Eilidh Fyfe of
Inveraray & District, also in the top 3 were
Karen Quinn and Iona Underwood, also of
Inveraray & District, giving them a fantastic
treble, scooping all the prizes in this section!
